DJ Nelly AKA PressPlay

Hailing from the birthplace of hip-hop, DJ Press Play grew up to the sounds influenced by legends. Today his unique sound fuses newer electronic music (dubstep, trap, drum and bass, and house), with Old Skool Hip Hop, Funk, and Disco. “I like to remind people where the music comes from by mixing in the Funky beats of MoTown Sound artists, the popular Disco music that set dance clubs on fire in the 80s and 90, and the Old Skool Hip Hop that emerged as DJs and MCs got together to produce new sounds.”


DJ Press Play has been a resident DJ at the Mansion in Shanghai, played on UDance Radio’s Spark Music Lab and at the Electronic Stage of 2014 Shanghai Midi Festival.
