Barry Harris was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce and perform a Top 40 hit he titled “I Beg Your Pardon” by a studio act he named Kon Kan.
“I Beg Your Pardon”, became an international Top 5 hit around the world, garnering a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Dance Recording in 1990.
In 1998 Barry relocated to Los Angeles to coproduce in the remix duo Thunderpuss producing more than 40 #1 Billboard Dance remixes including hits for major label recording artists Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion & Donna Summer to name a few.
Barry & Thunderpuss is best known for Whitney Houston’s Top 5 global hit, “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” which remains in steady rotation today as well as Barry's "Dive In The Pool (Let's Get Soakin' Wet).
Also winner of 2 IDMA Awards best remixer of the year at WMC and another IDMA Award for Best Underground Dance Record of the Year.
