In '82, I heard the music of pirate radio Disco-action and Satellite empire. Underground disco from America. I discovered Ben Liebrand's radio program “In de mix”, on Friday nights between 2 and 3 a.m. I secretly recorded it on a cassette tape without my parents knowing (sometimes I got caught). I also became a loyal fan of Ferry Maats' “Soulshow”. I am still a fan.
Transition to house music in ‘89 for me was a natural extension of disco/house. In the early ‘90’s, I played on Radio 100, on the program “Groove Yard”. First as a substitute for DJ Dano and then I did the program on my own.
From ‘95 onwards, I played for “Multi groove” in Zaandam, at the Fun factory.
After 2000, my love for disco and house music always remained. I continued to DJ at small (house) parties. And I organized “Foute bloesjes” parties.
In ‘23, I purchased digital DJ gear. This took some getting used to, because I had always used CDs and records. Since 24, I have been DJing at the Studio 27 “Get lost” parties.
