Long before becoming a DJ consultant, coach and mentor, Olivier Meijs was as one of the most booked DJ’s in Amsterdam. With an unmistakable groovy signature, he rocked dancefloors since the late ‘90’s. Deeply rooted in black music, Oliviers sets are ultra friendly to the ear and move seamlessly from jazz to house and back.
Together with his brother Roeland he formed dj-duo Grooveservice (2000-2010), which headlined countless club nights during the 00’s.
In 2008, the brothers started DJ School Amsterdam, which has since become one of the leading DJ/Producer schools in the world. The institute shares it’s knowledge and methods with schools and tutors worldwide and receives over 1000 students a year.
While helping DJ's and Producers to achieve their goals on a daily basis, the 2020's saw Olivier join nightlife temple Het Sieraad both as a resident DJ and co-founder of the retro music event ‘Bluesdaynight’.
As a School for Journalism graduate; Olivier is also a music copywriter for various music platforms.
