MAX STAVEN

Max Staven (Steve Hollox, SHX) is a musician and composer who has been passionate about electronic music from a young age. He received his first keyboard at the age of 7 and quickly learned to play by ear, developing a natural talent for music. As he grew older he became fascinated by the game music of the Commodore 64, particularly the compositions of Martin Galway, Jonathan Dunn and Matt Gray. He spent hours loading games by tape, just so that he could listen to their loader music, as opposed to playing the game itself. Over the years, he has honed his skills as a keyboardist, pianist, percussionist and now produces electronic music in his studio in Greenwich, London.
