DJ Forrest Getemgump

Forrest Getemgump is an Ohio born New York Bred DJ and Bboy. He is an avid record collector who scours all over the earth for the perfect beat and hard to find records. He started Breaking and DJing in the early 80s and always felt the breaks was the drive for the dance. Inspired by his long time friend DJ Swell, Forrest bought his first pair of turntables and mixer at the age of 16. He already had a pretty large record collection since started collecting as a young kid. For years he was a bedroom DJ but has since emerged and played for some of the world's biggest B-boy competitions. The most notable B-boy events such as Battle of the Year in Germany and the Breaking Convention which toured the UK, Scotland and Wales. In the late 90s he co-hosted the radio show Styles Upon Styles on WCCR in New York City. Although he keeps his selection classic Forrest continues to spin vinyl and demonstrates he rock all style of ranging from soul, funk, breaks, disco, classic hip-hop and house.
