DJ EMOKEN

.. EMOKEN was born in Nagano Prefecture where he grew up being influenced by various kinds of music in his youth. He started a Rock Band when he was a student. Enamored by performing in front of a live audience, he moved to Tokyo in search of larger crowds. This pursuit also broadened his horizons musically where he made his transformation to DJ in 2001. His present style has been influenced by UkAcid-Techno, Minimal-Techno, Chicago-House and Jazz. After playing a number of night clubs and rave parties, he joined "SOKEN BALANCE" at Ageha, becoming a fixture as a resident DJ in 2002. Highlighted by a performance at Ageha's 2nd Anniversary party with LAURENT GARNIER, EMOKEN emerged as one of the next young generation. With guest appearances at clubbing institutions Maniac Love and Yellow, EMOKEN has been on a relentless quest for originality and versatility, gettin busy givin soul to the city.
