Rafael is an established DJ, promoter, performer and music producer, under aliases of RifRaf, djOI and recently Kurtu - a new live audio visual experimental improvisation duet.

Based in Vilnius again, where he runs Cvi parkas - a plant based food & natural wine bar which is also a hub for multidimensional community affairs, interdisciplinary art, live music and DJs during European summers. Raf was born in Vilnius, where he also learned to play professionally violin and piano.
Since 2000, he relocated to Australia, where he created not only a home to himself, but also many weekly and monthly events, small and large scale festivals and ran many tours with a wide range of artists. He was one of the founders of Sydney Earthdance Festival, Diffusion, Deep As Fu*k and Pirates of the Underground events.
Raf is a music digger and educator, holding residencies for over 15 years now at Berlin’s Golden Gate, Melbourne’s Killing Time, and a regular guest at Sash, Breakfast Club and many other globally recognised music institutions including Club der Visionaere.
RifRaf produced many releases solo and collaborations with variety of artists including Jay Haze, San Proper, Daze Maxim, Alexkid to name a few..

In 2016 Raf’s affiliation with the Multi Culti family saw a collaboration with Dreems, featuring a Lum remix, that resulted in a superslow dance-floor monster which is available on all platforms.

In 2020, Rafael joined “Unity the Meeting Place” gathering, while staying committed to Escape Human Zoo global events series.
Rafael's creative journey continued to unfold as he joined the Tiergarten event series in Berlin and across Europe, Gaia Gathering, River Sound and Yaga Festivals in Lithuania, Waves Retreat and Subsonic Music Festival in Australia.
He remains committed to producing music while organising events as well as hosting ‘Escape Human Zoo with RifRaf & special guests’ - a monthly show on Radio Vilnius.
