DJ Plecks is a product of musical evolution, raised on Aussie Rock and Roll, Plecks' taste for music came from humble beginnings, a self taught guitar player and vocalist with an original punk song being performed with an impromptu band live on synFM around 2006, progressing into hardcore metal and grindcore and making waves in that scene but being self taught was unable to write music for the band to play so that was a dead end.
Around this same time I was introduced to the underground hardstyle scene and the melbourne shuffle, becoming a well known regular and influential character in the dance scene.. soon the clubs were closed down due to underage deaths.. around this time I was introduced to psychedelic trance through the magic that is curiosity and this came hand in hand with a sense of ONENESS and connecting to music on a spiritual level, I had learned how to beatmatch vinyl records while I was in the hardstyle scene and when I was introduced to the melbourne techno scene, had an opportunity to play around on my mates turtables and was proper hooked, I just knew I needed my own collection if I wanted to get anywhere with that, so, I've spent the last 12 years collecting music and experiencing all that I can with music to get to a point currently where I feel I have a unique talent to share with the world and hope to facilitate a kind of loving musical adventure I believe is owed to the ones who listen, a gift from me to you asking nothing in return except your sincerest dance, however you know how, even if its just inside your soul.
