DJ Kool G started his career in the early 90s as a MC and DJ, who helped to established Florida’s hottest dancehall reggae sound “The Waggy Tee Sound”. He was known for his wide diversified DJ skills and started his radio career on The Miami underground radio station Mixx 96.1 along with other now well known DJs such as DJ Khaled. DJ Kool G spun at numerous clubs such as CREAM and Sugar Shack at a time when the music scene was exploding in the Miami area. In 1994, Kool G blew up the Miami club scene by spinning the hottest R&B and Hip-Hop tracks and setting off Miami’s very popular “First Friday” parties while also working for celebrities like Alonzo Morning (Miami Heat) at Club Onyx and Louis Oliver (formerly of the Miami Dolphins) at Club Amnesia South Beach.

In 1998, DJ Kool G was hired at Miami’s #1 radio Station WEDRFM 99JAMZ. He has drawn diverse crowds to such clubs as The Seminole Hard Rock Casino’s Opium Lounge, Club Spirits, SoBe Live, Voodoo Lounge, Bermuda Bar, Cafe Iguanas, Martini Bar, The Mix Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas and over 70 local and national clubs spanning more than 20 years. DJ Kool G’s name has appeared in The Source Magazine, as well as Hip-Hop Weekly. In 2011, Kool G moved to Chicago and in 2012 appeared on Chicago’s Hottest Hip-Hop / R&B radio station WGCI-FM shutting down the airwaves.
The Notorious DJ Kool G is half owner of INNOVATION MUZIK a new record label formed in 2020.
