バイオグラフィー
FuNkysara, is the stage name of a Singapore born Dancer, Dj and Rapper, Saravanan. FuNky is an appropriate alias for him as he always believes in trying things that are out of the norm in dance & music.
Passion for the Arts:
In his younger days, he learned Indian Classical Dance for a period of time and later, in his teens, he found his niche in modern dance. Around the same time, he found himself being drawn to music and remixing. He overcame early technological limitations that existed in creating remixes. He started his passion for music by using mix tapes and progressed to the use of more advanced software and equipment. 1997, he was one of the first Singaporean Tamil Djs to collaborate with other Tamil Djs internationally. He eventually established himself and collaborated with Twinstarz Recordz Canada.
He has also been part of the tv dance group, Geethanjali Entertainers, from 1996. He was able to choreograph and perform for his own remixes on Singapore tv.
Currently, he is working on creating his own tracks to establish himself in the Tamil Hip hop Industry. He gets his inspiration from artists such as Dr Dre, Eminem, Jay-z and Ludacris. He likes writing materials that people can relate to.
Other talents/ achievements:
A believer in holistic development, FuNkysara has a Diploma in Business, specializing in Human Resource Management. Currently, he is working towards his degree in Human Resource Management. He also has talent in photo and video editing and has done some impressive video and photo projects over the years. He believes in lifelong learning and is constantly acquiring new skills and keeps himself updated.
