DJ SPY(USA)
Inspired by 80's turntable evolution, DJ Spy started out his DJ career as a house party DJ spinning at theatre halls in early 90's in Southern California. The experience gave him ability to facilitate the live momentum by choosing the right music for the audiences’ vibes. DJ Spy’s discography is so versatile from main stream top 40, house & tech house, funk old school hiphop, dubstep & trance to Amapiano. He has the unique talent to mix various genres of music.
DJ Spy has opened up for major recording artists from Sony, WEA WarnerBrothers, Atlantic, Electra, Capital Records, Thump Records, and more. The venues DJ Spy played at Kodak Theatre, House of Blues, The Key club, W Hollywood, The Hollywood Bowl to name a few. DJ Spy has appeared in MTV Europe, Washington Post, Bre Magazine, Music Connection, Wheel Magazine, LA Weekly, and the radio shows at 102.7 KIIS FM, Power 106.7 FM Los Angeles, CA, and 99.1 KGGI Inland Empire, CA.
Soon after DJ Spy started productions together with Grammy Award winning producer, Steve Russle, Chris Henry Grammy Award sound engineer, Sen Dog from Cypress Hill, multi talent Rome Kanda, Tae Bo fitness guru Billy Blanks. DJ Spy also produced the main theme song for Seattle film festival nominated documentary, American Addict.
After relocated to Fukuoka Japan, DJ Spy is now a resident DJ at Ritz Carlton Fukuoka Bay Bar, and also played at known venues such as, Keith Flack, Bijou, Dj Land Japan, M8, and Club Dinning Mist. The appearance in Asadesu, KBC TV, Love FM 76.1 Fukuoka, The Weel magazine, Woofin’ magazine, and Japan Unknown; mockmentary film in Japan.
In 2018, DJ Spy released deep house EP "Endless" independently and released on Get Down Recordings "This Thing We Got" & "Check this Out" Deeper in the Flesh ADE 2024 Compilation. Collaborating with Samtroy affiliation with Toolroom Academy. Looking into 2025, new materials are in production with Samtroy.
