Biography
Not many more predate this partier in the New England rave scene, promoting, DJ'ing, or just plan making events: Mr. Trash (Massive Dose/United Techno), DJ Leo (Phuture/ Rave of the Phuture), Adam Warped (Warped), Trixie (Jolt/ Warped), Jungleboy (Jolt/et. al.) Bamboo (Swing Kids), Scotty Mars (Bounce), MDMA (A.K.A.: Op:Break) among others (can you name 'em?!) DJ Third Wave first started workin' things as the original MUCK CREW (Aaron, Brian, Dan, Jamie) a punk rock band from Manchester, CT. This was the state of the scene in 1995, contemporaries of the scene began to abound, DJ Donut (C+B), Red Moon (Original Columns of Knowledge), among others (-again, can you name them?) So when DJ Third Wave discovered that there was NO party on the weekend of his birthday he seize the day to put THE FOREST at the Municipal Cafe' in Hartford. Knowing that his skills were still that of a bedroom DJ he didn't put himself on the bill. Instead, he focused on doing his best to host a party that held a higher cause to inspire all those who joined him. By this time he had moved on to running his own small promotional crew Indigenous Installation. Affiliated/ partners in crime crews, Awake Productions (DJ/ visual artist Kalomo) and Losst Unnown (B-boy family founded by Fadayz) and others who could understand his message, he went on to throw nearly 20 parties in totally by the end of 1999 ( The Forest 2 & 3, Gaia, Sacred Mind, Timeless Worlds, Operation Squirrel 1 & 2, Future Shock and The Starseed Transmissions). Predicting that the scene would implode due to meaningless wank ass parties thrown by... people too high on... hype. He returned to Asia, hooked up with local Psychedelic Goa Trance family (Goa Motion), honed his skills as a DJ (discovering the technique of melodic mixing), went professional by summer 2000 (later working 9-5 at Saikosounds.com, summer 2001-2) becoming Hong Kong's most sought after Psy-Trance DJ. By mid 2002 the entire scene the world over experience the crash that he had been anticipating and he knew it was time to pack it up. He sold his entire record collection, turntables, mixer, everything and moved to mainland China. Now after an 8 year hiatus, he is now back as a part-time b-boy, event host (MC, not rhyming in verse), and massive critic of the current DJ and party scene in Shanghai as well as Connecticut, USA via the...
