Kuromaku

Born in Nara in 1998, Kuromaku got his start in electronic music production at just 15 years old. After cutting his teeth as a trackmaker and producer in an electro-pop unit, he launched Kuromaku as a solo project in January 2020—marking a shift toward his own creative vision. His beat work has already gained recognition, with a collaboration on Xaki Michele's "BUKKOWASU" selected for KSR Japan's "100byKSR" initiative and officially released through the label. Since 2021, Kuromaku has been building momentum on multiple fronts. He joined Fuji Trill's crew SINISTER_XIII as a beatmaker, producing and providing beats for crew members while releasing his own instrumental work. Beyond the studio, he's expanded into DJing, with a weekly residency at clubasia's EXODUS (every Wednesday) that showcases his hip-hop and electronic sensibilities. His production reach has also extended into other artistic territories—in 2023, he began producing work for artist and performer Shimizu Mai.
